BDS ‑ Behr Development System
Our research and development locations worldwide

Global development
Behr’s research and development is based on global development work at a total of 17 locations, two of which have fully-equipped climatic wind tunnels and test facilities:in Stuttgart, Germany and Troy, Michigan. Engineers at the various worldwide locations work closely together to develop components, modules, and systems for vehicle thermal management. Establishing globally-available development processes and methods, as well as standardized development tools, allows us to exchange knowledge and develop in close proximity to markets and customers. In this way, we can provide our customers worldwide with high-quality products and services .

BDS ‑ Behr Development System
BDS is our library of core competence.Here, the processes relevant to product development are saved as mandatory standards. We incorporate the experiences from employees at all Behr development locations. Therefore, each of our developers can access the Behr Group’s best practices, such as validation processes and design guidelines, for instance. The counterpart to BDS in production is the Behr Production System (BPS). Production
