Peter Grunow
holds a degree in business administration. He began his career in 1974 as assistant to the Vice President of Controlling and Accounting at MAHLE. From 1981 he had various responsibilities as Managing Director of MAHLE subsidiaries in Brazil. From 1991 through 1996, Peter Grunow headed MAHLE´s new valve train business unit with its various joint ventures. From 2001 through September 30, 2010, he was member of the Management Board of the MAHLE Group, where he was in charge of the Filtration and Engine Peripherals and the Industry business units. On October 1, 2010, he became CEO of Behr. He is in charge of the Business Units OE and Service and the functions HR/Communications, Purchasing, Advanced Engineering and Strategic Planning.
Colin Carter,
who was born in England, studied languages in London and business administration in Bradford. He has been working in Germany since 1986. Carter was employed by ITT Automotive for 15 years, and spent four years working for ZF Lenksysteme, a joint venture founded by Bosch and ZF Friedrichshafen, as member of the board responsible for marketing and sales. With effect from April 1, 2004, Colin Carter was appointed Member of the Behr Board of Management responsible for Sales and the Customer Centers. Since September 1, 2012, he has been in charge of the strategically important Asia business.
Michael Frick
studied Business Management at Bamberg University. Later on, he gained extensive experience in the field of auditing as well as industrial expertise both in Germany and abroad. Since 2003, in the employ of MAHLE, he has held various management positions and last served at the company as President Controlling & Purchasing for the Business Unit Engine Systems & Components. With effect from July 1, 2011, Michael Frick was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Member of the Behr Board of Management, responsible for Finances, Accounting/Controlling, Internal Auditing/Legal Affairs, Treasury, Tax and Insurance and IT.
Dipl.-Ing. Klemens Schmiederer
Prior to joining Behr in 1987, Klemens Schmiederer studied aeronautical and aerospace engineering at University Stuttgart and earned the Master of Science at Imperial College, London. Since then he has held various technical positions in advanced engineering and product development as well as in the Engine Cooling and Air Conditioning Product Divisions at Behr. He also served as chief engineer at Behr America for four years and directed the Air Conditioning Product Line until mid of 2003. Schmiederer joined the Board of Management at Behr on July 1, 2003. He is responsible for the Business Unit OE Global/Europe, and for the functions Development, Production and QM.
Dr. Jörg Stratmann
studied Business Administration and Engineering, majoring in Mechanical Engineering, at the TU Berlin where he also obtained his doctorate while working full-time. Between 1995 and 2008, Dr. Stratmann worked in Germany and abroad in various functions at Siemens Automobiltechnik, Siemens VDO and Continental. In 2008 he joined MAHLE as General Manager Product Line Liquid Management Systems. At the same time he became a member of the Corporate Management Committee. In 2009 he took over responsibility in the MAHLE Group as Corporate Executive Vice President for the OE Automotive Sales and Application Engineering division. On January 31 he left MAHLE and, effective February 1, 2013, was appointed member of the Management Board of Behr responsible for the Sales/Customer Center divisions.
